This Hardanger bookmark kit is a whitework technique, originating from the Hardanger area of Norway. It employs a mix of kloster blocks, satin stitch, eyelets, buttonhole stitch, fabric cutting and needleweaving using different perle threads in white on the traditional white Hardanger fabric in 22hpi.
The kit includes all materials required - white Hardanger fabric, two skeins of white perle thread in different thicknesses, a tapestry needle and comprehensive instructions. All kept tidy in a neat little box.
If just purchasing the Instructions & Diagram, these will be sent to you via email and will comprise comprehensive instructions with images, stitch guide, diagram with key and full sized design. Please select Instructions Only at checkout for free 'delivery' by email.
The finished bookmark measures 15 cm high by 6.5cm wide.
You will need a ring frame (ideally hands free), fine, sharp embroidery scissors and tweezers. A needle threader, magnifier and daylight lamp may also be useful.
Suitable for beginners.
All my kits are packaged using recyclable and/or biodegradable materials.
